Artist Statement

Visual artist born in the Canary Islands. His work is an extension of the geological memory of his birthplace: a dialogue between matter, gravity, color, and the silence of the earth. He completely dispenses with brushes and tools, allowing weight and time to act as the sole compositional forces.

From his studio in Madrid, he recreates the volcanic energy and the telluric tensions of the islands, transforming every canvas into a process of physical sedimentation. His practice is a living interaction where body and territory merge to rescue the texture of the earth’s crust.

By dispensing with any tools, the artist yields control to the physics of the materials. The result is an organic morphology, unattainable through manual intervention, where matter manifests itself with the same freedom and rigor found in nature.
